South Davis Recreation Center Policies
EXIT DOORS
Just a reminder that the doors straight north from the locker rooms, commonly referred to as “exit doors”, are only to be used as an exit. That means once you have exited them you will have to go around through the main entrance to come back in. Friends are not allowed to open the door and allow you re-entry. Please assist the Recreation Center Staff in enforcing this policy.
FIRE LANE PARKING
The Recreation Center would also like to remind parents about parking in the fire lane, used for dropping off and picking up their children. In order to maintain safety for our patrons we ask that you idle for no longer than 5 minutes. If it has been 5 minutes and your child has not come, then we ask that you move to a parking space. You will be asked by staff to leave if you have passed your limit. At no time should you allow your vehicle to be left without a licensed driver in the fire lane.
New Check-in Policy and Swim Fees
Starting on Monday, October 12th, ALL swimmers will be required to check in at the front desk.
Heidi will be at the far computer closest to the ice rink to check swimmers in.
Swimmer will get a stamp on their hand and this will tell the front that they are cleared to go through the gate.
This includes swimmers with family passes! Please don’t have your swimmers use them; we ask that they check in.
This will help us keep better track of who is coming to swim team and will allow us to check payments.
Coaches may check stamps, too, to make sure everyone is checking in. Heidi is working on getting washable ink so the stamp will not linger past the current swim practice.
If you haven’t paid for this quarter or for swim team in general, please do so at this time on Monday.
After the 15th your child will not be allowed to swim until payment is made.
Starting in November the cut off date for payment will change to the 10th.
If you haven’t paid by the end of any given month, Heidi will notify you and your child will be taken off the swim team roll and someone on the waiting list will be given their place.
They will be able to come back if there is room and payment is made in full.
I know this sounds a little harsh but we are bursting at the seams and we need dedicated and paying swimmers to fill our lanes.
If your child is going to take some time off to do other sports or activities you will need to fill out a team withdraw form and turn it in.
This lets us know that you are not swimming anymore so we don’t bill you and gives us a possible return time so we can estimate our team numbers.
Filling out this form will get your swimmer put on the waiting list for the month they are planning on returning instead of waiting until they want to return and then hoping there is room.
The best way to insure your spot on the team is to keep swimming even if you have to cut back your days.
In the near future your swimmer will be receiving a paper detailing your information and payment.
Please look for this and return it promptly so we can update phone numbers, emails, and contact information.
This will also have what your quarterly or Automatic Withdraw payments are so we can make sure it is the correct payment amount.
Some swimmers moved up from pre-comp to juniors, which means there is a price increase which will need to be adjusted.
Those who are paying through auto withdraw will have to initial the form to approve the new payment. We will contact you if you fall under this requirement.
Lastly, if you have a high school swimmer who wishes to swim with the Tsunami team, they have to pay the fee amount.
They cannot swim with the team unless they are registered with the team and are paying the quarterly price.
Please make sure if your child is swimming during Tsunami time that they are paying.
If there are any questions or concerns please contact Heidi as soon as possible so we can take care of them quickly.
Thank you for your time and patience as the swim team grows and we add new policies to our team.
